Sunan Ibn Majah 2122

It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Umar said:
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade vows and said: 'They are just a means of taking wealth from the miserly."'

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ﷺ ـ عَنِ النَّذْرِ وَقَالَ " إِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ اللَّئِيمِ " .
