Shama'il al-Muhammadiya, Book of The Noble Age Of Prophet of Allah ﷺ
Ibn 'Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports:
"Messenger of Allah ﷺ lived in Makkah for thirteen years. (In these thirteen years) Wahi was revealed (to Messenger of Allah ﷺ. After this he made hijrah from Makkah), and lived for ten years in Madinah. He passed away at the age of sixty three.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: مَكَثَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِمَكَّةَ ثَلاثَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ، وَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرًا، وَتُوُفِّيَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ.
Classification
Mu'aa-wiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) once said this in the khutbah:
"Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away at the age of sixty three. (The Shaykhayn, i.e.) Abubakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) also passed away at the age of sixty three years. My age (at the moment) is also sixty three".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَخْطُبُ، قَالَ: مَاتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ، وَأَنَا ابْنُ ثَلاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ سنة.
Classification
'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reports:
"Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away at the age of sixty three years.
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، مَاتَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً.
Classification

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، قَالا: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا عَمَّارٌ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، يَقُولُ: تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّه ِﷺ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَسِتِّينَ.
Classification
Daghfal bin Hanzalah Sadusi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates:
"Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away at the age of sixty five years".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، قَالا: حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ دَغْفَلِ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، قُبِضَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَسِتِّينَ،
قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: وَدَغْفَلُ، لا نَعْرِفُ لَهُ سَمَاعًا مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، وَكَانَ فِي زَمَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ.
Classification
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports:
"Messenger of Allah ﷺ was not of a tall height nor was he short. (According to colour) he was not very white, nor very wheat coloured (dark). His mubaarak hair was not very curly nor very straight (but was slightly curled). He was blessed with prophethood at the age of forty, after that he lived for ten years in Makkah Mukarramah, and ten years in Madinah Munawwarah. At the age of sixty years Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away. At that time he did not have more than twenty white hair in his mubaarak head and beard".
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى الأَنْصَارِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ، يَقُولُ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، لَيْسَ بِالطَّوِيلِ الْبَائِنِ، وَلا بِالْقَصِيرِ، وَلا بِالأَبْيَضِ الأَمْهَقِ، وَلا بِالآدَمِ، وَلا بِالْجَعْدِ الْقَطَطِ، وَلا بِالسَّبْطِ، بَعَثَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَلَى رَأْسِ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً، فَأَقَامَ بِمَكَّةَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ، وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ، وَتَوَفَّاهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى رَأْسِ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً، وَلَيْسَ فِي رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ عِشْرُونَ شَعَرَةً بَيْضَاءَ.
