It has been narrated (through a different chain of tranmitten) on the authority of Jabir who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that a man should come to his family like (an unexpected) night visitor doubting their fidelity and spying into their lapses.
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ - حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ
عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا
أَطَالَ الرَّجُلُ الْغَيْبَةَ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ أَهْلَهُ طُرُوقًا ‏.‏
